A Bit About Us

Whats Salt got to do with it?

Persian Blue Salt is a low sodium salt, with high trace mineral content. It is mined from the mountain ranges of Iran which contain veins of the Blue Salt. This mining process produces salt from caves, and tunnels, providing very clean pure salt. This is because this salt is from an ancient sea that has been buried for 110 million years, covered and isolated from modern pollutants in the environment.

This is a natural salt product with no additives whatsoever. This salt contains many trace minerals including magnesium, potassium, iodine, and calcium.

This blue salt is naturally low in sodium, however maintains a bold salty flavor, with a sweetness.

Persian Blue Salt naturally contains the same minerals as many other salts such as Pink Himalayan Salt, Kosher Salt, and Sea Salt.

The key benefit of Persian Blue Salt is the low sodium content while keeping the trace mineral content and flavour.

Many have described the flavour of Persian Blue Salt as a bold salty taste with sweet finish. When it hits the pallet it is an immediate fresh salty taste, with a sweetness. Lingering on the tongue strong upfront taste and then leaves the pallet with no lingering taste or feeling.

Use Blue Salt in cooking, especially tasty with BBQ’d vegetables or meats. Great in stews, soups, roasts, in dry rubs, and any style vegetable.

The strong salty taste means you won't need to use as much. A little goes a long way.

So why Persian Blue Salt? It is a tasty mineral, beautiful to look at, and has big flavour with less sodium.
